While planning to open Amba, our goal was to serve the best Middle Eastern vegetarian food in all of California. To accomplish this, we knew that we would have to spare no expense on ingredients, freshness and preparation. Furthermore, we spent months experimenting with recipes, traveling to the Middle East and New York and competing with ourselves to develop the best, most authentic menu. In fact, we haven’t stopped. Each and every day we ask ourselves, how can we be better?
Since we’ve opened, hundreds of our daily customers tell us that we’ve reached our goal. At the risk of being overly proud, now we think we’re the best in America. Watch out Middle East! But how did we do it? We make our great tasting hummus and falafel in small batches several times a day. Despite the simple ingredients, making great hummus and falafel requires patience and great artistry — skills that don’t come easily.
We make our delicious toppings, salads, soup and fries with equal passion.
Authenticity, value, friendly service and our bright and lively décor — it’s all part of the Amba experience.
In the end it’s about great hummus and falafel and always will be.
